Day from Hell
It hasn't rained any measurable amount in DFW since late september. When does it decide to, of course, on the day of my travels. Jordans flight left 2 hours late from Charlotte because DFW was closed. And then, she circles for an hour above Texas. So, she arrived as the flight to London was pushing back. At this point in time, I had already rebooked for tomorrows flight.
So, I will be in Paris a day later, which up to this point has only cost me $200 bucks to change the airfare. I am staying up to 2 am, at which time the Eurostar ticket office opens in the UK to change my booking. Hopefully, I will be able to change this as my ticket allows one exchange before departure. As I write this, the plane I was supposed to be on is probably serving breakfast. Well, I've only lost a day.
BTW, American Express Travel Insurance is a POS. I thought that they would cover this, oh no. Only If I died, or was dismembered. Nice thought.
I will unwind sometime next year from today's hassle.
